Community Guidelines

Rants is built on anonymity and free expression, but that doesn't mean anything goes. These guidelines help keep our community safe and respectful.

Be Respectful

Disagree, debate, rant, but do it respectfully. Personal attacks, harassment, and bullying have no place here. Critique ideas, not people.

✓ Allowed:

  • • "I strongly disagree with this policy because..."
  • • "This take is flawed for these reasons..."

✗ Not Allowed:

  • • Personal insults or name-calling
  • • Targeted harassment of specific individuals
  • • Doxxing or sharing private information

Zero Tolerance Policy

The following will result in immediate removal and potential account suspension:

  • Hate Speech: Content that promotes violence or hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Threats & Violence: Threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, or graphic violent content.
  • Sexual Content: Sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, or content involving minors.
  • Illegal Activity: Content promoting illegal activities, drug trafficking, or fraudulent schemes.

Protect Privacy

Do not share personal information (yours or others') including:

  • Full names, addresses, or phone numbers
  • Social media accounts or email addresses
  • Financial information or passwords
  • Private photos or documents

Report Violations

See something that violates these guidelines? Use the report button (flag icon) on any voice note. Reports are reviewed quickly, and action is taken when necessary.

⚠️ Important

False reports or abuse of the reporting system may result in account suspension. Only report genuine violations of these guidelines.

Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Content Removal: Individual voice notes removed
  • Temporary Suspension: Account suspended for a period
  • Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations
  • Legal Action: Illegal content reported to authorities

These guidelines may be updated periodically. Continued use of Rants constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
